This project was unique in a way that various genres were utilized to answer a specific question created by myself. I liked the idea of researching and answering a question that I am interested in and get the chance to share it with other people in diverse ways. I was actually able to learn a lot about my mother's teenage years through interviews.For example, I thought that refrigerators and washing machines, electricity was present at homes since a long time ago. According to my mother, electricity and household electronics that are easily seen these days were introduced after her youth. She also told me about how scary it was at night to go to use the bathroom because there was no light, and the toilet was far away (separate shack from the house). Also, I was surprised how, our lives right now, can differ so much from only 40-50 years ago; thus I though of factors that could have created these differences and included them into my answers. When I first began writing the research paper, I had no idea how I would figure the answer out. However, through several steps of presenting the answer in different genres, I was able to slowly form (and learn from) the answer to my key research question. If I thought I would find a few differences, I actually found a lot; I also extended to find out whether those changes gave good or bad effects to teenagers. For example, health and education improvement is good, but the expanding cyber-world and internet may sometime give off bad influences as well. I hope people would be some what entertained while looking through different genres I worked with to answer my key question. Viewers are probably able to understand the different aspects that contribute to the changes of life styles, actions, and thoughts, as well as why those changes were created. Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome, but in a way I feel like I could improve parts of the project.
